The C&O Canal Trust is the official non-profit partner of the C&O Canal National Historical Park and works in partnership with the National Park Service to protect, restore, and promote the canal. The Trust seeks to ensure the Park’s  natural, historical, and recreational potential is fully realized.

National Public Lands Day

Join us on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Carderock for the annual National Public Lands Day Adopt-A-Crag Event with the Mid-Atlantic Climbers!

Projects this year will include mulching the heavily used portions of trail and the bases of climbing areas and other erosion control measures throughout the trail network of Carderock.

After a morning of work, volunteers will be treated to a free BBQ sponsored by Earthtreks, door prizes and of course rock climbing!

Check-in 8:30am
Service Projects 9-12noon
