The C&O Canal Trust is the official “friends” group of the C&O Canal National Historical Park and works in partnership with the National Park Service to protect, restore, and promote the canal. The Trust seeks to ensure the park’s  natural, historical, and recreational potential is fully realized.

National Public Lands Day

Join park staff and the C&O Canal Association Volunteer Program at Carderock for National Public Lands Day on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2009 FROM 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Volunteers will assist in a variety of trail projects. All tools and supplies will be provided by the park. Please bring work gloves and please dress for outdoor work.
