Palisades Volunteer Seminars

The Palisades Volunteer Seminars will be starting again in November! All volunteers are welcome to attend and we hope it will give you a chance to learn something new about the park and meet fellow C&O Canal volunteers.

The first seminar is scheduled for November 20th from 10:00AM until 12:00PM.  It will focus on the history of the gold mines in the Great Falls area of the park.  Harold Sakayan, a long term volunteer at the park, will do a talk on the history of the Gold Mine here at Great Falls which will be followed by a hike on the Gold Mine Loop up to the mine ruins.  Hopefully we will still have some good autumn colors out on the trees.

If you would like to attend please RSVP by November 18th so we have an idea of how many people to expect. We hope to see you there!
