First Aid, CPR and AED Training for VIPs

Some volunteer positions in the Park either require or recommend training in Basic First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)) training. There are a variety of ways a VIPs can meet these requirements. If you receive training in your job, that will meet the requirements of the Park. If you do not have training or need to renew your certification, there are several ways to obtain that training through classes offered by Park Staff or Volunteer trainers.

NPS Law Enforcement Ranger, Leigh Zahm, offers periodic Basic First Aid and CPR/AED classes to VIPs. Successful completion of these courses leads to a two year certification/recertification by the American Red Cross. Check this page periodically to see when the next course(s) will be offered.

Announcement of the next First Aid and/or CPR/AED Classes to be taught by Ranger Zahm:
